JESSIE - DISABLED
"I am not the odd one out. I am the same, but I am treated like I am the odd one out all the time."
The subject of dots is taken directly from a drawing produced by Jessie on the theme of being the odd one out during a community project I was involved with hosting. The number of dots included in the final flag is representative of money which was proposed to be cut from special needs schools in recent Conservative Government cuts.
Simply put, Jessie, the girl whom this flag was made in collaboration with made one simple request – that the flag be pink because it is her favourite colour. This is for you Jessie.
