Tasked with capturing Field Day Festival in all its glory, we wanted to avoid the endless stream of dull event photography and social media slop, instead opting for a different way to document the weekend.
Working with illustrator Joey Yu, we commissioned a series of live reportage drawings, capturing everything from red-faced punters sprawled across the grass to a rain-soaked Erykah Badu headline set. A slower, more human take on one of the summer’s biggest weekends.
The illustrations were featured as part of It’s Nice That’s festival coverage before being picked up by The Guardian.
