A series of flag-making workshops for Newcastle United, created in collaboration with supporter group Wor Flags as part of the celebrations surrounding The Road to Wembley exhibition.
Hosted at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, the workshops invited some of Newcastle's youngest supporters to get stuck into all sorts of creative materials and make their own flags, taking inspiration from the enormous displays that have become such a big part of matchdays at St James' Park. Each design carried a message of support for their favourite players or the team as a whole.
All of our mini-artists' creations were then brought together in a serendipitous exhibition of their own, rounding off a few days filled with creativity and just the right amount of chaos.
