Sucker Punch was the follow-up to Sigrid’s debut EP, Don’t Kill My Vibe, and marked her first full studio album. Working with the dream team at Island Records, we built on the visual direction established during Sigrid’s debut campaign, drawing inspiration from her Scandinavian roots and a distinctly DIY, internet-inspired aesthetic.
Norwegian wildflowers native to Sigrid’s hometown were a central element of the campaign, with petals from Lupinus, Rødsildre, Ballblom, Reinrose and Blåklokke used across the artwork. This was paired with a tactile, textured approach to mark-making and typography, adding to the campaign’s deliberately handmade feel.
The cover was voted one of the 20 best album covers of 2019 by Billboard.
